With modification, I would give it a 5 - the straps on the back to put the seatbelt thru created a problem and the bed wasn’t attached from the bottom and my dog managed to get herself between the shoulder straps and the bed - so I stitched about 2” up from the bottom of the bed straps, and made straps that clipped into the safety seat of the car - stays in place MUCH better - I did have to remove the ears as they were going to become a “chew toy” for my pair - in addition- I cut (and made a cover) out of 3” foam for the bottom - which makes it hold its shape much better in the car and our ultimate destination - the dogs also preferred the foam - I would suggest your firm selling (as an option) the foam pad - works beautifully (and they still use the pillows the bed came with)
